Litecraft: June 21st Countdown

20/04/21

With restrictions being lifted ready for the Summer, it goes without saying that we’re going to want to be spending as much time outside of the house as possible. After all, we’ve spent the past four months staring at the same four walls. Whether it’s that family barbecue that’s way overdue or spending some time in the garden to wind down, you want to make the most out of your outdoor space. The days are getting longer as we take a step away from Spring and welcome Summer, and what better way to appreciate the extra few hours of sunlight than to bask outdoors, restriction free. You can upgrade your outdoor space by adding some stunning lighting options, meaning that you can keep the fun going long after the sun has set.

SOLAR LIGHTS
It’s important to be aware of our carbon footprint and try to remain as efficient as possible, so what better way to do that than to invest in solar lights for your own garden? Solar Lights are a great way to elevate any outdoor areas or gardens. They can be utilised in a variety of ways as well as being extremely energy efficient and a low cost option for outdoor lighting. You can create your own little paradise by simply implementing a few solar lights in your garden and waiting for mother nature to do the rest, weather permitting of course. They require very little maintenance so you can just sit back, relax and when the sun goes down you can marvel on the beautiful lights illuminating your garden. The best thing? Solar Lights are suitable for any space regardless of the size, so you can create your dream outdoor area with minimum effort!

OUTDOOR SECURITY LIGHTS
Our homes are our pride and joy, so it only makes sense to want to protect what’s in them. Outdoor security lights act as a deterrent for those unwanted guests as well as increasing visibility in your garden or driveway upon motion detection.

WHAT’S TRENDING?
Looking for the perfect finishing touch to complete your ideal garden? Look no further. One of the top trends taking this season by storm is the familiar yet modern industrial look. This trend is perfect for both indoor and outdoor spaces if you’re aiming for a sophisticated yet simple environment. The deconstructed appearance combined with a modern twist leaves us all dreaming of New York City apartments. The exposed bulb is showcased in a sleek and stylish way as well as being extremely functional and giving a high amount of lighting. This would be a perfect addition to anyone’s garden to create an authentic vintage feel.

So whatever you’re doing this summer, upgrade your garden with beautiful lighting to make the most out of it. Stay Safe.

Better late than never.

I admit, I have neglected letting my creative writing juices flow recently. Lockdown has definitely taken its toll, but I’m forever grateful that it gave me the chance to rekindle my childhood passion for writing, even if it’s just to myself. So, I’m dusting my keyboard off and diving write in. Play on words intended.

Dear Readers,

My apologies, it’s been a while. Yes.. I’m still alive. I’ve been busy back at work trying to return to some kind of normality, or whatever the new normal is going to be. It’s been tiring to say the least, but my colleagues and I have managed to pull through. Working for one of the biggest fashion retailers on the high street definitely has its challenges. I won’t say exactly where I work, but we can just say it rhymes with ‘Hi Mark’.

With the country slowly opening back up, I can’t wait to be able to see my family and actually eat food that hasn’t been prepared by myself or my partner. I’m looking forward to the warm summer days and sitting outside and dining Al Fresco. It sounds much more sophisticated when you phrase it like that as opposed to ‘eating outside’. I’m not even close to being a sophisticated lady, but a girl can dream!

Returning to full time employment after almost four months of being sat at home, binging Netflix, spending hundreds of hours on Animal Crossing and eating more Crispy Rolls than I can count has definitely been a huge shock to the system. The biggest shock being that I’ve put on a bit of lockdown weight and hardly any of my clothes fit me anymore.

Channeling my inner Regina George.

Anyway! The amount of running around I’m doing now is soon to burn that off. Plus, I bought a really cute pair of floral trousers that I NEED to fit into, so that’s my motivation! So many cute Summer Co-ords, so little time! That and I can’t afford to buy a whole new wardrobe, so healthy eating here I come. I WILL comfortably fit into my jeans again without feeling like I’m being squeezed like a tube of toothpaste that’s almost empty.

I have a week of holiday leave at the moment, so I’m using this time to catch up on things that I haven’t been doing as much recently. Blogging being one of them. Later on this week I’m being a little tester guinea pig for one of my old college friends who has recently become a tattoo apprentice. I’m super excited to get some new ink, it’s been way too long! I also can’t wait to support my friend in the early stages of her dream job. Stay tuned!
